Health Projects

Since 2005, when YVO was operating as JVC, YVO supported a Basic Health Center in Khewa District, Nangarhar, providing essential health services, particularly to women and children, maintaining family health records, ANC, PNC, vaccination, and laboratory services. In 2009, YVO expanded its health services by supporting a Sub Health Center in Kuz Kashkot, improving access to healthcare for underserved and remote communities.

YVO’s health approach has extended beyond facility-based services and included Community Health Workers (CHWs), Traditional Birth Attendants (TBAs), Hygiene promotion Awareness, nutrition awareness and school health education in close coordination of Community Health committees,

Through this long-standing experience, YVO has developed strong capacity in primary healthcare, community-based health programming, health promotion and disease prevention, maternal and child health, community mobilization, health education, and engagement with local communities and health stakeholder .
